Transitional Living program
A transitional program for young people (17-24) facing housing instability or homelessness, ready to take the next step toward independence. We provide safe housing, case management, life-skills coaching, and the guidance needed to build lasting stability.
Domestic Violence Project
Huckleberry House provides fully furnished apartments for young survivors of domestic violence, offering a safe and supportive place to rebuild stability with safety planning and support from trained staff.
Parent Mentorship
Many young people in our program are parents. We provide resources, including an on-site playground, and support to help you care for your children while building a brighter future for both you and them.
Our Services

Apartments
Huckleberry House and partners provide 100+ furnished apartments for youth (and their children) with on-site staff for easy support.

Skills for the Future
A key part of our Housing Program is building independent living skills. This includes budgeting, cooking, and home safety. Partnering with a case manager and a counselor will help you reach your job and education goals.

Support for Parents
Many participants are parents. We offer parenting support and an on-site playground so your kids can learn and play while you work toward your goals.

Housing Program for Survivors
Huckleberry House offers fully furnished apartments for young survivors of domestic violence. Working closely with our VOCA Coordinator, residents participate in safety planning and receive ongoing support in a secure, confidential setting.
Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive place to rest—often the first full night’s sleep in years. During your stay, we’ll help you set healthy boundaries, explore legal protections, and build daily routines so you and your children can feel safe at home and in the community.
This program is made possible through funding from the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA). Huckleberry House receives referrals from CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence, Central Ohio’s only domestic violence shelter, as well as The Center for Family Safety and Healing and the Salvation Army Human Trafficking Program.
