Marsh Brook Place House Warming

You are cordially invited to a special house warming celebration as Ohio opens its first permanent supportive housing program for youth. In mid-August, 40 young people ages 18 to 24 will move in to Marsh Brook Place in south east Columbus. Please help us get 40 apartments ready for the new residents!

Drive Through House Warming Party

How does this work? Select an item from the Sign-Up Genius page and then come to our Drive Through House Warming Party to drop off and celebrate with us. You will get a view of the outside of the newly constructed building, have a chance to sign a Welcome Home card to be placed in an apartment, and receive a goody bag. No need to wrap your presents for this housewarming party!


If you can’t join us for the Drive Through House Warming Party, there are other ways to participate safely, all beginning with the Sign-Up Genius page:

  1. Drop off weekdays at our administrative office. Purchase an item or two from the Sign-Up Genius list and drop off to our administrative office at 1421 Hamlet Street between now and August 13. Our office is open Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Please come to the administrative building, donations will not be accepted at the crisis shelter.
  2. Use Amazon to donate. Visit the Sign-Up Genius list and select an item or two to purchase from the Amazon Wish List and your gift will be sent to us to place in an apartment
  3. Make a financial donation at our Columbus Foundation Giving Page. In the special instructions box, please note Marsh Brook Place Housewarming.
      • Adopt a full apartment for $500
      • Adopt a kitchen for $250
      • Adopt a bathroom for $120
      • Adopt a start up set of personal care and cleaning products for $80
      • Donations of any amount are appreciated and needed

About Marsh Brook Place:


Marsh Brook Place is a 40-unit apartment building that will be located at 5981 Chatterton  Road, just west of Brice Road. The three-story  building will provide supportive housing for  transition-aged youth (ages 18-24) who may struggle with homelessness, have aged out of foster care into unstable housing, are experiencing mental health conditions and substance use disorders, or have been victims of domestic violence or human trafficking. Community Housing Network will develop and manage the property, and Huckleberry House will provide on-site, youth-focused supportive services.

    The * denotes that the item must be in a full size bottle.

  • Non-perishable food items for youth outreach (crackers, cup of soup, fruit snacks, chips)
  • Gift cards from $5 to $25 for fast food restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations
